The décor in the Standard Double Room blew me away. It felt stylish and cozy with a stunning view of the canal. Waking up to that was a treat. The mini fridge was super convenient for storing snacks and drinks. Jonathan, the owner, stocked up our room with some complimentary goodies, which added a nice personal touch. However, I ran into a few issues. The narrow stairs leading to our room were quite steep, making it tough to haul up larger bags. I also noticed some dust on the floor, particularly under the bed, which was a bit off-putting. Furthermore, there were times when we couldn’t get hot water, and controlling the heater was tricky. Lastly, street noise echoed into the room, making it difficult to sleep. Even with these hiccups, the location on the canal was unbeatable, putting us right in the heart of Amsterdam's charms.

charming building, stylish decoration, fully equipped kitchenette
Narrow stairs can be challenging with luggage!!! A few odd odors lingered upon arrival!!! Attention to cleanliness needed in some spots!!! The shower design wasn't very functional with no partition!!!

Cozy spot with a view!
I spent a week here and loved the room with the canal view! It felt like a little home with a comfy bed and a kitchen for snacks. Plus, Jonathan, the owner, was super friendly and left us lots of goodies. Just keep in mind the stairs can be a hassle if you have heavy bags.
